The first snow!

Moments ago I looked outside to see the first snow of the year!  Keeping in mind that I am in Louisiana & it won’t stick but it puts me in the holiday spirit anyway. =)

I am now taking appointments!!!  I was out of the picture for a while due to medical reasons but I am doing great and ready to get back to work! 

Over the Thanksgiving holiday I had a few sessions with my sisters, which turned out great!  I also had a session with an old friend Amy and her fiance Andy.  It was so much fun & I couldn’t have asked for better weather!   Here’s a sample of the sessions…

Catching up again

Ok, I know that I haven’t posted a blog in a while… sorry!  To play catch up I’m posting a couple of collages just to let you in on a little bit of what I’ve been up to. 

This is Eleigha, Sean and thier daughter McKenzie.  We had a great time in downtown just walking around and snapping some pics.  Thanks for letting me capture part of your life.  I’m excited to take some pics of the new baby boy!!! 

Also, the beautiful brunette is Emily.  My neice will be a senior next year and we have been taking some senior pics when we get a chance.  These were taken in Prattville, Alabama when we went home to see Courtney’s family.  She’s growing up and will be leaving for college in a year.  =(   She’ll be ok though, she’s smart and got a good head on her shoulders. 

 

This is Tonia.  Isn’t she BEAUTIFUL!!!  Well, I’m kinda bias… but she is!  Tonia is my bestest friend in the whole wide world!  We have been best friends since freshman year in high school.  She’s an amazing woman and I love her.

She did our boudior shoot in May and she was so easy to work.  She has natural beauty.  So, here’s my beautiful best friend! =)

Amanda’s boudior session

Amanda had this session to give the memory book to her hubby who is currently deployed to Iraq.  She was a blast!  Lisa and I could hardly take the pictures because she kept us laughing.  We did this session at Lisa’s house and it had a great sunroom that let us use the natural light. 

Amanda had a lot of fun doing this too!  She was so much fun and up for anything.  Take a look at how beautiful they turned out!  She was a beautiful model and I hope to do some more pics for her sometime! 

Pray our soldiers who are serving our country!  Pray for all of the Army wives and familes too… they are stronger than anyone else I know!

Ok, so I finally got my internet installed yesterday.  I can now upload some pics to show off some of my work.  These are pictures from family Christmas shoots and my family at Thanksgiving. 

I have to thank Missy for always helping and keeping me laughing.  We work together everyday all week and then after work or on the weekends we are shooting all over town.  We have had a ton of fun and look forward to 2009 to have even more adventures.  We work great together and have a lot of fun doing it.  We also have a ton different ideas.  Between the both of us we can do amazing things!

Senior Pictures

I just realized that I never blogged about the senior shoot that I did with Missy for Carl.  Together Missy and I took over 700 pictures that day.  We had a blast, he was fun to work with and didn’t really object to any of our crazy ideas.  We must have walked about 3 miles that day, we shot in West Monroe down by antique alley all the way up to the tracks and in Monroe all the way from the rail road tracks to the boardwalk.  Here are some of the pics I took that day, there were so many and it’s really hard to choose the best ones.  Enjoy!

The Weekend Trip To Alabama

This weekend we took a trip to Alabama to visit Courtney’s family…..  Ok let me stop right here and explain that there are 2 of us, both named Courtney, I’m Courtney Sorensen and she is Courtney Dozier.  Anyway, the trip was good but as always, too short!  The stay, not the drive, lol.  We had a good drive down Friday, we stopped in Jackson to have Debra and Anna keep the babies.  THANK YOU!  Then off to Prattville.  We didn’t get there until about 1:30am.  Saturday we shopped around town a little then went to Courtney’s dad’s house.  The food was GREAT, the company even better!  We took some family pics and had fun playing with her nephew and opening presents.  All and all, even though it was a long trip, it was a good one.  We always enjoy spending time with her family.  Just wish we all lived closer so we could do it more often.  A big Thank You to Dora for all of the great food… and I’m going to need that cake recipe for my own collection. =)

Happy New Year!

Wow, 2008 went by so fast!  I can honestly say that in the past year we have been blessed.  We had a great Christmas and, as always, it didn’t last long enough.  I just hate to take down the tree and decorations.  We’ve enjoyed many good times with friends and family. 

For Christmas, Drew and Abby got some new toys from thier Nana.  They love the holidays too!  I just wanted to share some pictures of Abby out in the yard….  Drew is pretty camera shy and doesn’t like pictures.

What is Boudoir Photography?

Boudoir Photography is a tasteful, classic, beautiful, sexy way for the modern woman to appreciate herself and her body.  Often these images are given as a gift to a significant other, but the gift you give yourself may be even more  valuable.

Do I have to undress and/or wear revealing clothes?

Absolutely NOT… Being sexy does not mean you have to be nude and/or dressed slutty. Being sexy means you being you in whatever makes you FEEL sexy. Or whatever you think he would love to see you in…for example: that cute little tank top and pj bottoms that you think is really cute…or his business shirt and tie with some really cute jeans…maybe its your wedding dress and veil that has been boxed up for a few years.. And it ’ even have to be full body shots…. waist and/or neck up can be really glamorous to! 

Who are these images for?

They are for the bride who wants to give her groom the most unbelievable gift. They are for the wife and mother of 3 whose husband could use a reminder he married the sexiest woman on the planet. They are for the woman who wants to feel like a supermodel. They are for EVERY woman!

 

My Policy:

My Policy on Boudoir Images is no full nudity. I will never ask you to pose nude. I work with implied nudity only which means you are covered with either your clothing, your hands, or an object.  I view any nudes as extremely private in nature and will be between you and whomever you wish to share them with.

Where is the session?

Typically I am an on-location photographer. However, for Boudoir, I have arrangements for a studio setting located in Rayville, LA that will be very private. 

But  I don’t know how to pose!
Don’t worry, we will guide you through the poses and make sure you look fabulous in them all.

 

What if I’m not happy with my weight or shape? Should I wait?
No, you don’t need to wait at all. I’m able to ensure gorgeous images with a size 8 body or a size 20 body using clever lighting and various photographic techniques that will flatter your shape. Everyone has their own unique beauty, and that’s what I will bring out in these shoots. I also retouch with softening tools & enhancements using paint shop programs. However, I will NOT alter your photos- They will be “enhanced” in a glamorous style.

How do I know he’ll like them?
Trust me, he’ll like them. Why wouldn’t he like his own private collection of photos of you looking sexy, classy and confident. He will love them! He is a man, trust me…if he enjoys a little sexy picture once in a while, shouldn’t it be YOU?

Pure Beauty

I guess we are back to the cold weather… at least for a few days anyway.  Yesterday I had a great day!  Courtney’s neice Emily had her latin club get together “Jazzum” at Austin’s in Monroe.  Before the evening started, I did her hair as her mother did her nails.  Then after she got dressed, off we went to take some pictures before the big event.  First we went to the boardwalk in Monroe, then down the street in front of Austin’s.  Then we got to go inside of Austin’s before anyone was there.  I was so excited to get to go into Historical Austin’s, it is so beautiful!  So was Emily!  =)

We went all over Austin’s taking pictures… in the window, at the bar upstairs, the stairs and even the old phone booth.  After that we still had enough time to hit the raidroad tracks and trenton street.  I had a blast!  Thanks Em for letting me take all the pictures!  You are beautiful!  The whole family has said how much they love the pictures, so I wanted to share them with everyone else!  I hope you enjoy the pictures and I’m sure you will agree…  This is beauty!

What are you waiting for?

Ok ladies…you have thought about it long enough and time is going to run out if you don’t act soon! This is not about how you look posing half naked..It’s not about how you need to lose that extra 10 or 20 pounds or even about getting some color on that skin of yours. Who says you even have to take your clothes off? Someone just mentions “boudoir” and you immediately think nude!! Come on, personally I think a woman looks sexier covered up…its all about how you feel about yourself. It’s about confidence, your smile, a silhouette, your hair falling on your shoulder…the back of your neck…heck, even your FEET! When a woman, who maybe has some body issues, gets to see herself as an erotic being, I’d imagine that gives her a new sense of confidence; in fact, some boudoir photographers say it does exactly that.

Sags, wrinkles, bags, cellulite- they can’t compete with lingerie, soft lighting, the right angle and perfect position with a come hither look. I can assure you will be pleased with the results… (so will he!)

Terry’s Inner Diva

Well, Friday night brought lots of fun and tons of pictures.  After, over 5 hours of shooting, our cameras were both full.  We had a blast and so did the 5 ladies that showed up to bring out their inner diva.  We are working hard to get these edited and out as quickly as possible.  I know the girls are anxious to get them to their hubbies.

Twice the fun!

Sorry for being MIA lately but I’m playing catch up with my blog! 

On St. Patrick’s Day I had so much fun with two beautiful and playful girls, Brenna & Baylor!  These girls were running and playing all over Beidenharn.  Making them sit still was not possible.  That was fine with me, I just ran along with them, along with Brandy and Brandon (the proud parents) we were able to keep up with them most of the time.  Enjoy!
