I love this time of year! Not only because it snows on my blog (which I still think is cool) but because of the spirit of the season. The weather, for the most part, is awesome and the decorations always put me in the spirit of Christmas!

I just wanted to take a second to thank all of my clients and their support for this past year. Each and every one of you have trusted me with your precious moments to capture them forever. I have heard so many kind words about my work and I appreciate them all! In the year to come I look forward to meeting many more clients, catching up with current clients and offering many more options to you. As always, if there are any ideas you have or want me to offer any other products… please let me know! I will do my best to fulfill your requests.

Please make sure to book any sessions by December 31st in order to lock in the 2010 prices! This goes for weddings, engagement, bridal, boudoir, family, children, senior… you name it! Thank you all for your continued support of my personal dream. You cannot know how much it means to me that you appreciate my work and see the beauty that I do. I love to surf the net and find all sorts of blogs that give me a new perspective. I follow cooking ones, photography ones, wedding ones…. anything that catches my attention. I stumbled upon an article the other day that mentioned a new iphone application called “anti-bride” and it perked my interest. I downloaded it (for free) and looked around. I think it’s so cool! They say it’s “Tying the knot outside the box” and I think it’s a really cool site! Nowadays every bride wants to be different, they don’t want to have the same wedding that their best friend just had… that wouldn’t be any fun and who wants 2nds??? If you are a bride to be and want some new ideas, check it out! You can get the app on your iphone or just visit the blog http://www.antibride.com/ they also facebook, tweet and myspace. =)

The only other blog I wanted to share today is this one… I actually found if off the anti-bride blog. Bridetide.com they have blogged about the 100 top wedding blogs. Ok, enough about weddings… it’s the holidays and time to spend with family and I want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that each of you enjoy the time with family and friends.

Chris and Wendi were married October 9th in Ruston, LA at Windsong Farms. This is a beautiful setting and we had so much fun! Chris & Wendi love old cars and trucks… it was only right that we took advantage of the old truck out front. Chris’ uncle even brought over his cavalier for them to take pictures with. Love Byrds {Monroe, LA – Family Photographer}

You may recognize Amanda from a boudoir shoot I did last year…. or you may not =) She has lost over 100 lbs and looks great! Her husband is in the Army and was deployed to Afghanistan last year, which was why she did the boudoir shoot for him. Now, he’s back and she’s looking great so they needed to update their family pictures. I’m so happy they chose me to do this! =) We had so much fun during our last shoot because Amanda is so funny and has an infectious laugh, you can’t help but have fun with her. I can see why this couple was made for each other, he is just like her! They are the cutest couple! They goofed off and we got some amazing shots. I also met their son Aiden this time, he is adorable and 100% boy. Amanda’s mom and dad even got in on the picture taking.

After the family pictures, we got a chance to get some couple time in. It sprinkled on us and the sun shined a little but we just kept on going. They didn’t care that it was sprinkling on and off, we just kept having fun. Finally after a couple of hours of shooting and TONS of pictures, we were done. Just in time too! It started raining while we were on the way back to our cars. Thank you Byrd family for letting me capture your memories! I had a blast and can’t wait to do it again.

As you can see, I couldn’t just choose a few pics to post there were so many good ones!

Believe it or not, spring will be here before we know it! Spring brings beautiful flowers and warm weather… I cannot wait! Start scheduling your family sessions now, don’t wait until the last minute. Don’t forget, Easter is Sunday April 4th. I know that all of my Saturday’s in March are booked with weddings and events, but I still have Sundays and days in the week open!!!

Jason & Sandi {West Monroe, LA – Engagement Photographer}

Meet Jason, Sandi & Dixie! Jason & Sandi are getting married in March so we did their engagement shoot last Saturday. It was pretty cold and snow was still on the ground in some places from the day before, but we had a lot of fun. They brought their dog Dixie, she was so cute, so she got in on the fun too! They are such a sweet couple!

Congratulations Jason & Sandi! It’s going to be so much fun at the wedding, I can’t wait!
